Electronics Technician VET
During your apprenticeship at METAS as an Electronics Technician, Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET), you will support the development and implementation of electronic devices for scientific measurements, gain insights into research projects and receive support from experienced experts.
Your education
Your duties
- You apply the theoretical and practical principles of electronics.
- You develop and build electronic devices and measuring systems from the design stage to the finished device.
- You design printed circuit boards, assemble and solder them, commission them and ensure that they work correctly.
- You assemble and wire modules and devices.
- You program electronic circuits and create program codes for microcontrollers.
- You install device housings and install control elements.
- You plan and carry out measurements and inspections.
- You document your work carefully.
Your profile
- Secondary school qualification with very good grades in mathematics and natural sciences
- Particular talent for mathematics, physics and computer science
- Good technical and abstract imagination
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
- Flexibility and commitment
- Craftsmanship and precise working methods
- Team player and a sense of responsibility
