Calibration

Our calibrations are based on nationally and internationally traceable references and guarantee the highest measurement accuracy and traceability to the International System of Units (SI) for measuring instruments from industry, research and administration.

• What is calibration?

  Calibration involves comparing a measuring instrument (e.g. measuring equipment) with a reference instrument (normal). This determines the extent of the deviations from the reference standard, the extent of the measurement uncertainty and the conditions under which the instrument provides reliable measurements. Unlike verification, calibration is not required by law. It is used for quality assurance purposes and is necessary to ensure traceability to the International System of Units (SI), as stipulated in ISO/IEC 17025.
