• Fibre optics, OTDR

  For employees of calibration laboratories working in the field of fibre optic measurement technology. You will learn about the theoretical principles of optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR) and will be able to perform, evaluate and document OTDR calibrations according to the relevant standards.

• Basics of pressure measurement technology, mass and force

  Specific topics from the field of pressure measurement technology, including both theoretical and practical aspects; any focus areas can be covered by prior arrangement.

• High-frequency calibration technology

  Specific topics from the field of high frequency calibration technology, including both theoretical and practical aspects, focusing on HF power, coaxial connectors, VNA measurements (also as preparation for the VNA tools course).

• Metrological aspects of flow measurement

  The seminar teaches the metrological aspects of accurate flow measurements, drawing on input from METAS experts.

• Testing of diesel exhaust gas emissions with nanoparticle measuring instruments

  The course provides participants with an overview of the legal aspects of approving instruments for measuring nanoparticles emitted by diesel engines with a particulate filter (DPF), measuring particle number concentration in exhaust gases and the challenges encountered in practice.
