Fabiano Assi METAS, Vice-Director METAS and Head of the Physics Department

Fabiano Assi has been Vice-Director of the Federal Institute of Metrology METAS since 2024 and Head of the Physics Department since 2023.

He holds the title of Dr. Sc. Tech. (ETH Zurich) in Material Science and a degree in Engineering (ETH Zurich). He completed further training at IMD Lausanne in the areas of strategic innovation, innovation management and Leading Digital Business Transformation.

He is a member of national and international committees, including as Chair of the Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology of the European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET) and as a member of the Federal Accreditation Commission (AKKO).
