Hanspeter Andres, Vice-Director METAS and Head of the Chemistry and Biology Department

Hanspeter Andres has been Vice-Director of the Federal Institute of Metrology METAS since 2021 and Head of the Chemistry and Biology Department since 2019.

He holds a doctorate in chemistry (Dr. phil.-nat.) and an EMBA in Management and Corporate Finance from HEC Lausanne. He is a member of national and international bodies, including the Board of Directors of the European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET) and the Executive Committee of Eurachem.
