MOVOTELIT – Precision Length Measuring Instrument

The MOVOTELIT is a high-precision absolute length measuring instrument for measurements of up to 30 mm. Thanks to a glass scale positioned along the measurement axis, the measurement system complies with the Abbe principle and enables highly accurate measurements with minimal systematic effects. Its rigid mechanical design, plane-parallel tungsten carbide measuring surfaces and low, adjustable measuring force ensure high measurement stability, even when measuring sensitive artefacts.

At METAS, the instrument is used for the calibration of pin gauges, screw gauge measuring wires and spheres, as well as other flat and cylindrical precision components. The rotatable measuring stand allows the MOVOTELIT to be operated in both horizontal and vertical orientations and adapted flexibly to different measurement tasks.

With a measuring range of 0 to 30 mm, the MOVOTELIT achieves a measurement uncertainty of 0.08 µm and a repeatability of 0.02 µm. The combination of high accuracy, low measuring force and versatile applicability makes the system an important measuring instrument for the calibration of small precision measuring standards and form standards.
