If a new type of development with potential for industrial applications emerges as part of a research project, METAS will protect the invention with appropriate intellectual property rights.

These technologies are then made available to interested industrial partners under fair licensing conditions. By doing this, METAS promotes the transfer of knowledge to business and contributes to securing valuable know-how for industry.
